Srodmiescie (“downtown” in Polish), despite the abolition of the division of Lodz into districts, is still considered a district, in addition occupying the smallest area. Over 70,000 people live in the area of ​​6.8 sq. Km. The Srodmiescie area is the heart of Lodz due to its central location and proximity to other parts of the city: Widzew, Gorna, Polesie and Baluty. The city center, which should be Lodz Srodmiescie, has been forgotten by city authorities and potential investors for many years.

However, this is a thing of the past, because the dynamic changes that affect this district are a signal that the character of Srodmiescie is already changing. This is mainly due to the New Center of Lodz project being implemented in stages. In the very center of the city on a 90-hectare plot, a project unique on a Polish scale is being developed, which also includes the revitalization of historic buildings. The heart of the project is to be the Kobro Square, which will be located between the renovated EC1 heat and power plant and the city’s main station – Lodz Fabryczna. The creation of a new cultural and business center, including office buildings and numerous commercial and service premises, will make this area of ​​the city vibrant with life.

Lodz Srodmiescie is the best-connected district. In addition to the Lodz Fabryczna main railway station, there is also a bus section here. In addition, residents have at their disposal numerous bus and tram lines. At Adam Mickiewicz Avenue, there is a transfer center, which is called the Unicorn Stables by the residents. Right next to it, the Hi Piotrkowska 155 complex is being built, which will consist of two office buildings and a hotel. The 82-meter tower will be the tallest office building in Lodz. Other interesting office buildings in Srodmiescie include Lodz.Work, Brama Miasta complex, Nowa Fabryczna and OFF Piotrkowska Center Office.

Companies deciding to choose office space in Srodmiescie take into account the comfort of their employees and the proximity of potential job candidates.
